This page is for designed for users of PVM, the Parallel Virtual Machine, in the Parallel and Distributed Systems (PADS) Group at the University of Waterloo.
In the past, PVM was ran on a network of Apollo workstations running a local port of PVM to the Apollo OS.
Apparently, there is a multithreaded version of PVM called tpvm written by Vaidy Sunderam. A copy may be at ftp.mathcs.emory.edu.
There is already a PVM port of POVRay that is available at ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/patches/pvmpovray.tar.Z You will most likely also need the source code for POVRay 2.2 at ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Official/Generic-Unix/povsrc.tar.Z Don't forget to get the documentation.
